How to move CSR forward in Kazakhstan?

Major companies that operate in Kazakhstan place considerable emphasis on Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). Moreover, in some cases the government authorities promote the concept by requiring social investments from companies as part of contractual obligations.  In this panel debate participants question to what extent companies, government and civil society are utilising the full potential that the CSR agenda encompasses. The panelists highlight Kazakhstan’s recent track record on CSR, present global best practices that may have relevance for Kazakhstan and discuss how CSR can best be taken foward in Kazakhstan.
